Jami'ar Kyiv a farkon rabin karni na 19. The Taras Shevchenko National University na Kyiv jami a ce mai bincike kuma tana daya daga cikin manyan kafa mafi girma a bangaren  ilimi a Ukraine. Tarihinta ya faro ne daga Nuwamba 8, 1833, lokacin da kafa ta tallafawa C.C. Uvarov, sannan Ministan Ilimi, wanda ya kafa Jami'ar Imperial ta Saint Volodymyr tare da canja mataa wuri zuwa Kyiv na Polish Kremenets High School. Kaddamar da jami’ar ya kasance ne a ranar 15 ga Yulin 1834, Ranar Tunawa da Saint Prince Volodymyr.
